What structure comes with the Old Tappan house?
New Jersey's Class F rules require two qualified operators for each home: at least one lives in the residence, and one is on site from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. whenever residents are present. On top of that, we add house management, behavioral health technicians and transportation.

Who is the Old Tappan house a good fit for?
We welcome men and women 18 and older who are sober at move-in and committed to staying sober, willing to follow curfew, chores and meetings, and honest during intake, including about medications. Residents, families and referring clinicians usually recognize one of these.
Stepping down from treatment
Finishing residential or intensive outpatient treatment and not ready to live alone yet.
Working, in school or in treatment
Residents must be working, in school or in treatment, or begin one of those within 30 days of moving in.
Needing accountability
Has relapsed before and wants structure in the house, not only in sessions.
Care continuing outside
Managing anxiety, depression or MAT with an outside provider while living somewhere substance-free.
How does a week fit around work and evening treatment?
Evening treatment is a few minutes from the house. Residents in outpatient treatment attend an outside licensed program on the schedule it sets, and the house van drives them to evening sessions and back.
- Morning
Up on the house schedule, breakfast in the shared kitchen, out to work or a daytime commitment.
- Day
The resident's own, within house expectations: a job, errands, exercise, a recovery meeting.
- Evening
