Who runs this website
Clarity Sober Living LLC operates NJ Sober Living and this website, livesobernj.com, and is responsible for this policy.
NJ Sober Living runs sober living homes in Waldwick, Old Tappan and Closter, Bergen County, New Jersey. The homes are recovery housing, not a treatment program. Residents attend a separate outpatient program, which has its own privacy practices; this policy does not cover that program.
This policy covers this website, the inquiry form on the contact page, and calls to the phone number listed on the site.

What information we collect
Only what you choose to send us through the inquiry form or tell us on the phone. That is your name, your phone number and who the bed is for, plus an email address and a message if you add them.

The form also holds two hidden fields you never see: one tells our host which form was sent, and one is a spam trap that people leave empty.
What you tell us on the phone
If you call (201) 231-1066, we hear whatever you choose to tell us. We may write down your name, your number and what you are looking for so we can follow up.
What our host records automatically
This website runs no analytics, advertising pixels, social media widgets or embedded content from other sites, and its fonts and images are served from the site itself.
Like any web host, Netlify, Inc. receives the technical details every browser sends to load a page, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, so it can deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Netlify describes how it handles that data in its own privacy policy.

How we use your information
To answer your inquiry about a bed, and for nothing else. Here is the path an inquiry takes.
You send the form.It goes from the contact page over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
Netlify Forms receives it.It filters out spam and stores the inquiry in the Netlify account Clarity Sober Living uses for this website.
Clarity Sober Living reads it.We look at which homes have an open bed.
We call or email you back.We use the number or address you gave to talk through a bed and next steps.
We don't use your information for advertising, and we don't add you to a mailing list.

How long we keep it and how we protect it

The form travels over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Submissions are kept in the password-protected Netlify account Clarity Sober Living uses for this website, and only the people who handle inquiries for Clarity Sober Living can see them.
No way of sending information over the internet is perfectly secure. That is one reason the form asks you not to include medical details.

You decide what to send, and you can ask us to show, correct or delete it.

Children and changes to this policy
This website is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us an inquiry, contact us and we will delete it.
When this policy changes, we post the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
